GasBuddy.com, the retail gas price tracker supported by millions of volunteer price spotters across the United States and Canada, has started giving away $100 in free gas as it will do every single day in 2014. The first winner of the new $100 daily prize was a driver from Aurora, Ill.
“It simply makes it much sweeter of a deal for the hardworking group of spotters that have been behind so much of GasBuddy’s success,” said Jason Toews, co-founder of GasBuddy.com, “We want to reward the GasBuddy community for their hard work, effort, and dedication in our mission- saving motorists money at the pump.” Details on how to win can be found online at http://goo.gl/JnYpnp
Since 2007, GasBuddy had given away $250 in free gas every week to one lucky GasBuddy member. To date, more than $66,000 worth of free gas has been handed out as a way of saying ‘Thank you!’
Last year, GasBuddy gave away $13,000 in free gasoline, but will boost that number nearly three-fold in 2014 to over $35,000 by changing its giveaway to a daily $100 gas card, increasing the number of winners each year from 52 to 365.
Anyone can sign up to become a member via GasBuddy’s free smartphone app, available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone devices. More information on the contest can be found in the app under “Win Gas” icon or on the GasBuddy.com website. Anyone 18 or older who is a GasBuddy member may be eligible for the GasBuddy weekly gas card giveaways.
