The Great Bend Board of Realtors has announced its merger with several other area real estate boards to create a new entity known as The Great Plains Association of Realtors. In response to new guidelines recently handed down from The National Association of Realtors, the professional real estate boards of Great Bend, Salina, Russell and The Flint Hills have merged to create the new organization. With its headquarters in Salina, The Great Plains Association of Realtors is now a larger regional professional organization. However, on a local basis, no significant changes will occur as each of the previously individual boards will each act as local councils to The Great Plains Association.
The newly formed Great Plains Association of Realtors recently elected Rick Sateren of Coldwell Banker Sell Real Estate as its President. This appointment was during the board’s Dec. 11, meeting at The Salina Country Club. “Congratulations to Rick Sateren for his appointment as the President of GPAR,” said Chris Rost, former President of the Kansas Association of Realtors. ”Becoming the first President of this newly formed organization speaks directly to the professionalism and industry respect that Rick Sateren has earned.”
Prior to heading up this regional board, Sateren served as President of The Great Bend Board of Realtors.
