HaysMed hosts 12-Lead EKG Interpretation for Health Professionals

Hays Medical Center will host a continuing education program on 12-Lead EKG Interpretation on Feb. 28 and March 1. The first program will be held on Feb. 28 and repeated on March 1. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Both sessions will be held at Hays Medical Center, Hadley Conference Room #2, 2220 Canterbury, Hays. The programs are sponsored by the HaysMed Education Department.
The speaker for the program is Michael L. Wallace, MPA, EMTP, CEMPTP, Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, Blue Springs, Missouri.
Topics to be covered include limb and precordial leads, 12-lead EKG, AMI presentations, serial ECGs and imitators of STEMI on 12 Lead ECGs.
The program is designed for RNs, LPNs, ARNPs, Respiratory Therapists, and other interested healthcare professionals. Seven (7.0) hours of continuing education credit are available for CNE credit. HaysMed Respiratory Care Continuing Education Evaluation on behalf of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts has approved this program for 7.) CRCE Hours, Providership No. 36..
Fee for the nursing programs is $35 for HMC and PVCH Associates, $35 for CAH hospitals and $70 for non HMC Associates.
