The wind didn’t stop 18 dedicated teams from playing in the Larned Chamber’s 30th Annual Last Chance Golf Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Edwards Park Public Golf Course.
After 18 rounds, there were ties amongst all three flights. With a tie for the tournament championship scoring 60, Jim Haynes’ team - consisting of himself, Brian Haynes, John and Tyler Gleason - snagged the win with a birdie to win the tie for first. The Championship Flight Runner Up went to Dave Titus, Clayton McAllister, Josh McAllister and Matt Wondra, while Aaron Knight’s team clinched third place.
The two additional flight winners are as follows, both resulting in three- and four-way ties: Flight 1, first place to Kara Rath’s team, second to Cody Forell’s team, and third to Kevyn Soupiset’s team – all scoring 66; Flight 2, first place to Ed Crosby’s team, second to Julie Erb’s team, and third to Jana Schartz’ team – all scoring 70.
The earnings made from this tournament will go towards the betterment and support of the local community and businesses that help it thrive.
