Panzer Insurance announces that H. Mike Boys, LUTCF has joined the agency as a Licensed Customer Sales Representative effective December 2015. Mike originally retired in August 2011 after 23+ years as an insurance agent with another company in Great Bend. Mike stated “I really only took one week off before my son, who is an insurance agent in Dodge City, asked for me to help him.” I enjoyed being with my family, but after more than three years of driving back and forth, it was time to stay home.” When asked why he joined Shawn Panzer, Mike said “I really enjoy working with people and teaching them how insurance works in their daily lives. Panzer Insurance provides multiple companies to select from, which is an option that I never had available before. Now I’m able to find more people the best coverage and price for their needs. Most importantly, I became friends with the people I worked with in the past and find helping others understand insurance the greatest reward”.
Mike and his wife, Jolene, have lived in Great Bend for 46 years. Mike has been involved with the community and Barton County in the following previous positions, Great Bend City Council Member, BCC Foundation Board Chair, Lions Club President, Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, Cub Scout Pack 184 leader, Frontier Festival Board, founding member of Barton County Fair Board, Clara Barton Hospital Foundation, Clara Barton Hospital Board of Directors and volunteer/mentor at Kansas Department of Corrections in Larned.
