Mosaic is a recipient of the 2012 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Integrity Award Bronze Award of Merit in the charity category. The award was given by the BBB serving Nebraska, South Dakota and southwest Iowa since Mosaic’s international headquarters are located in Omaha, Neb. The award, however, acknowledges the effort of the entire organization. This is the second time Mosaic has received honors from the BBB.  Mosaic first earned the Integrity Award as the sole organization in the charity category in 2007.
BBB president and chief executive officer Jim Hegarty, stated, “In today’s challenging economic climate, honesty and integrity are more important than ever.”  He added, “These organizations have solid business practices, based on a commitment to serve their customers with the highest standard of ethics. They have built successful companies because of the trust that has been established, and the BBB Integrity Awards recognize their leadership in the community.”
These awards focus on demonstrated ethical business practices with key stakeholders including customers, employees and the community at large, rather than a company’s growth, profitability or popularity. The Integrity Award winners were chosen by an independent panel of business leaders and members of the academic community. The 2012 BBB Integrity Award judges felt that several candidates demonstrated, through the application process, that they placed a high priority on honesty and integrity in the work place and therefore were recognized with Silver Awards of Distinction for exemplifying the values of the BBB and Bronze Awards of Merit for significant commitment to ethical business practices.
“I am so proud that we have been recognized for what we describe at Mosaic as ‘doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.’ We all know that with great work comes great responsibility,”  said Linda Timmons, president and chief executive officer of Mosaic. “Congratulations to all Mosaic staff for upholding the highest standards for our mission and the people we serve. This award is truly a reflection of their commitment to excellence.”
