Nikki Rainey is new care manager for ElderCare

ElderCare Inc. will host an Open House to welcome Nikki Rainey and say farewell to Karen Sessler, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at 1819 Eleventh St., Great Bend.

Nikki Rainey has been named care manager for ElderCare Inc., a non-profit agency which strives to enhance the quality of life for older adults. The announcement was made by Robin Fabricius, chair of the board of directors.
Rainey will direct 75 staff members of the agency’s home care division and will assume responsibilities for client services, human resources and training. She comes to ElderCare from health-care non-profit organizations in Las Vegas.
Janet Splitter, executive director of ElderCare, noted that Nikki’s background, experience and excellent credentials equip her well for the new role she will assume at ElderCare.
Nikki and her husband, Aaron, and daughter live in LaCrosse.

About ElderCare
An impressive range of essential services nourish seniors in their community, Splitter said. One division of the agency is Friendship Meals and Meals on Wheels in the 28 counties of Southwest Kansas providing meals for people 60 years or older. Over 1,600 meals are served Monday through Friday at noontime in 40 locations. The Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas, is the local site for Friendship Meals and Meals-on-Wheels.
Homes Services is another division of ElderCare Inc. which has assisted over 3,000 clients since 1992. The services are tailored to each individual’s needs, varying from a few hours monthly to around-the-clock care. Care may include personal care and hygiene; homemaker care such as cooking, laundry and cleaning, and respite assistance for a caregiver. The services are available in Barton, Pawnee, Stafford, Rush, Edwards, Pratt, Ford and Kiowa counties.
