The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Platinum Style Salon to its membership. Karen Crane owner of the Salon along with Cosmetologist Sandy Clanton would like to welcome you to visit their salon.

Platinum Style Salon is a full service beauty shop, offering haircuts, colors and highlights, special occasion styles, hot stone and spa pedicures, manicures, facials, and massage to men, women, and children. The salon also carries a variety of name brand retail hair care products. New to Platinum is a line of fashion handbags, wallets, jewelry and designer sunglasses.

"I am a native of Great Bend and a graduate of the Barton County School of Cosmetology," owner Karen Crane said. "I’m a detail person and have always wanted to own my own business." Platinum Style Salon revolves around its customers. Crane pays attention to detail, whether working with a client or putting a finishing touch on the decorating. "We want our clients to be satisfied with the services they receive here," said Crane. "We stay open several nights a week to accommodate those who work during the day, and have been running monthly promotions to support local charities."

Crane is married and has two children. Fellow stylist Sandy Clanton has been a cosmetologist for over 15 years working in Great Bend after graduating from the Barton County School of Cosmetology. She has three children, and has been actively involved with the school system and the community in various programs.

Crane and Clanton are adamant about giving back to the community, and are hosting two charity promotions during November. "This month we are donating $2 from every haircut to the United Way of Barton County, and will step that up to 50 percent of the proceeds from every haircut booked by a new client from Nov. 8 through the 13," Crane says. "We are also holding a coat drive this month, followed by a food drive in December."
