Three years ago, when Ashley Carrasco was pregnant with her third child, she wanted custom clothing for him, so she decided to make it herself. Now Carrasco is the owner of Redeemed Apparel LLC, a faith-based custom clothing store where she sells much of her own clothing designs.

Her son was the inspiration and impetus for the business. Instead of buying custom clothing for him, she purchased a Cricut machine and decided to design the clothes herself. Her previous job at the Great Bend Public Library afforded her the design experience she needed to be successful at the job.

From there, the hobby grew into a business as she began selling her clothing designs to friends. Two months ago, she expanded and was able to open her store at 2100 10th St., on the northwest corner of 10th and Williams. In addition to the brick-and-mortar location, she also owns two online clothing stores.

She said she enjoys the freedom to create her own designs. “I love creating designs and being able to bring them to life on clothes.”

With her faith-based design, she said she likes to focus on encouraging others, as well as bringing awareness to mental health issues.

Carrasco said she’s also motivated by the chance to be an inspiration to her young daughter. “She says she wants to own her own business because it’s so awesome that Mommy has her own business and she’s her own boss, so I like being an inspiration to her.”

Redeemed Apparel has clothing for all ages and sizes, all the way from newborn to adult 5XL clothes. Many of the designs are faith-based, and most are her personal designs. In addition to clothing, Carrasco also carries items such as coozies and Bible covers. 

Redeemed Apparel is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, The store is closed Sunday and Monday. Redeemed Apparel LLC can also be found on Facebook, or online  at https://redeemedapparel.store/.
