HOISINGTON — Hoisington’s Rodeway Inn & Suites Hotel was recently awarded the prestigious 2020 Platinum Award by Choice Hotels International Inc., one of the world’s leading hotel companies.
Platinum Award designated hotels represent the top 3% of hotels within the brand. Award criteria are evaluated by Choice Hotels through its official property ranking reports.
“We count on our owners to make sure each guest that stays at each and every one of our hotels feels welcome, wanted and respected,” said Tim Tobin, vice president, franchisee onboarding and learning, Choice Hotels. “Award-winning hotels like Rodeway Inn & Suites in Hoisington, Kansas have demonstrated their commitment to delivering on this brand promise and more, and we are proud to honor their accomplishments.”
Owned and operated by local investors, Rodeway Inn & Suites is uniquely located adjacent to the Bicentennial Park and Recreation Complex on the west side of Hoisington. Guests enjoy the park’s walking trail and open spaces right outside the hotel. Hotel guests are able to check out equipment for the park’s new pickleball court and disc golf course, along with horseshoes and tennis equipment. Funding for the equipment was provided by a Health for Life Coalition – Hoisington & Northern Barton County grant through Pathways to a Healthy Kansas, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas initiative.
As the only hotel in the Cheyenne Bottoms basin, the hotel caters to visitors to the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area and nearby attractions. The hotel offers a free Grab ‘n Go breakfast, a game cleaning station for hunting guests, and is adjacent to Hoisington’s new Scentral Bark dog park.
The Duck Blind Bar, located inside the hotel, is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings for guests and the public.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from Choice Hotels and proud of the hard work and commitment of our staff under the leadership of Elizabeth Daniels, general manager,” said Kathy Hitschmann, managing director of Hoisington Hospitality LLC.
