This holiday season, Great Bend residents can give thanks with their hearts to local military families by making a donation to the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry™. Now through Jan. 1, the Sears Hometown Store of Great Bend invites customers to donate to the Wish Registry, either in-store or online at www.sears.com/heroesathome, and give thanks to the men and women who serve the country and our community every day.
Residents can also give with their hearts to local area families by dropping off nonperishable food items to the Sears Hometown Store of Great Bend. In return for making a food donation, customers will be eligible to receive a discount on the weekly “Holiday Heart” special beginning Nov. 7 through Jan. 1. Customers can speak with store associates for details.
For more than three years, the Sears Heroes at Home program has helped hundreds of military families across America, including families in our own community and the Wish Registry continues the company’s support for the men and women who serve our country.
The Heroes at Home Wish Registry enables Sears’ customers to thank America’s military heroes for the sacrifices they make for our country and has helped more than 51,000 military families and raised more than $12.2 million. For many, the wishes shared in years past have been simple and practical including everything from warm clothes to new toys for their children to a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations for their homes.
Sears Hometown Stores is a unique retailing concept that combines the value, selection and services associated with larger retail stores but is owned and operated by a member of the local community.
