The staff at ElderCare Inc. announced that Sue Campbell is retiring after 18 years of service in its Friendship Meals Division.
During her tenure at ElderCare, Campbell worked as a data entry specialist to ensure that people received nutritious meals, said Brandi Grueber, Home Services director. “We wish her well in all her future adventures.”
ElderCare hosted the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee this past Thursday, where Gayla Nielsen, Friendship Meals director, and Linn Hogg from RSVP talked about Meals on Wheels and Friendship Meals. The RSVP office coordinates the volunteers who deliver Meals on Wheels in Barton County.
Friendship Meals prepares meals out of the Great Bend Senior Center for Barton County, one of 28 counties in the service region. Last year 384,000 nutritious, hot meals were delivered to homes and congregate sites, including the Barton County Meals on Wheels, senior centers in Great Bend and Ellinwood, and the Hoisington Meal Site.
