Wheatland Electric Cooperative Inc. invites the community to attend the Great Bend Bat Cats baseball game at Al Burns Memorial Field on June 15. The Bat Cats will play host to the Newton Rebels. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Wheatland will be grilling free hamburgers and hot dogs for the first 200 attendees, first-come first-served, beginning at 6 p.m. Beer will also be available for $1.  

Both teams are part of the Sunflower Collegiate League, a nonprofit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league made up of 10 independently owned teams.
