Barton County has 65 positive cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday afternoon.

Barton County Public Information Officer Donna Zimmerman said the cases included five people who reside in Ellinwood, 34 in Great Bend, seven in Hoisington and 19 in rural Barton County.

There are 91 active quarantine or isolation orders.

To date, the county has had 2,658 positive cases, according to county reports. This differs from the 2,733 cases reported by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. KDHE numbers are preliminary and include probable cases.
