The Barton County Commission and the Great Bend City Council will hold virtual meetings Monday due to COVID-19.
The commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. But the meeting will not be open to the public except via live-streaming.
It will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

The agenda includes a Sexual Assault Awareness Month proclamation, a Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month proclamation and an appointment to the Barton County Planning Commission.
The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, but the meeting will take place virtually because of COVID-19 meeting guidelines. Since public access restrictions have been placed on public buildings, the following procedures will be followed in conducting public meetings.

The agenda includes tapping the city’s Community Development Block Grants in response to COVID-19 and a CDBG application from DAT Fitness, an application to connect to the city sewer system from Keven Arnberger with Pryor Sprinklers and an exemption for a brewery in downtown Great Bend to operate within 200 feet of a church.
