County sees spike in COVID-19 cases: 18 in six days

Barton County Public Health confirmed 18 new COVID-19 cases between 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, and 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 20.

According to an update sent by County Public Information Officer Donna Zimmerman, there were 31 active positive cases this week – 28 in residents of Great Bend, one in Claflin and two in rural Barton County.

There were 69 active quarantine or isolation orders.

Last week there were 22 active cases and 62 active quarantine/isolation orders.

To date, there have been 2,577 positive cases and 7,172 quarantine/isolation orders issued in Barton County.
