A sign set up along McKinley Street in front of the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus offers words of support to doctors, nurses and others at the hospital for their efforts during the COVID-10 pandemic. “We wanted to recognize our team members for the heroic work they are doing. It also adds some pleasantry to the day,” said campus Administrator Jesse Mock. “The community has been very supportive as well,” he noted. The facility has received donations of hand-made cloth masks, 3-D printed face shields and food.
