Keith and Oleta Beckwith will celebrate their 50th anniversary today with family.
Keith and Oleta (Weaver) Beckwith were married on Jan. 19, 1964, in Larned. As newlyweds they moved to St. Joseph, Mo., where Keith worked at the Firestone Tire Company and Oleta was a medical transcriptionist at Missouri Methodist Hospital. From there they moved their family to Stafford, where they raised their children. Keith was vice-president of Farmer’s National Bank and Oleta worked at Stafford District Hospital and owned a western clothing store. They were involved with numerous civic groups and were members of the Nazarene Church. Since raising their family, the couple has moved to Liberal and then Great Bend where they’ve resided for 26 years. Keith retired from Lorraine State Bank in 2007 and Oleta from USA Gym Supply in 2010. They are long-standing members of Grace Community Church.
Keith and Oleta love to golf, travel with friends and spend time with their kids and grandkids. The couple has two children, Darren and Lisa Beckwith and Aaron and Jill (Beckwith) Sauer, all of Ellinwood; and six grandchildren, Mallory Sauer, Danielle Beckwith, Darrien Beckwith, Ethan Sauer, Delaney Beckwith and Madison Sauer.
