Norman and Hilda Chakir will celebrate their 30th anniversary and Hilda’s 95th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. on April 10 at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas, in Great Bend. Hosts for the celebration will be Hilda’s children, Judy Burnett, Sandy and Taylor Smith, both of Great Bend and Ron and Pat Griffith of Smith Center.
Hilda was born on April 8, 1916. She has lived her entire live in Barton County. On Aug. 19, 1939 she married Dick Griffith. He died in 1977. On March 10, 1981, Norman and Hilda were married in Oklahoma. The couple has six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Friends are invited to the celebration. No gifts are requested.
