Ray and Pat Hanken of Holyrood will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 27, in the Fellowship Hall at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1109 N. Vine Street in Hoisington. Hosts for the event will be their children Steve and Sonja Ritter of Hoisington, Troy and Tonya Chadwell of Flower Mound, Texas, and Terry and Jeni Hanken of McPherson. The couple has six grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Shelly Ritter, Taye Chadwell, and Cole, Trey and Drew Hanken.
Pat Freeburg and Ray Hanken were married at Peace Lutheran Church of rural Albert on July 27, 1963. Ray is retired from the Minute Man, Titan II and ABM Missiles, Great Bend COOP and farming. Pat is a homemaker.
