The Barton Community College Music Department will present a choral concert titled “A Reason to Sing,” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The show is free and no tickets are required for entry. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Director of Choral Activities Dr. Eric Foley said the concert will include all the Barton choral ensembles and the music all fits into a similar theme.

“This show will feature music that significantly stems from some of the various reasons people have for lifting their voices communally in song,” he said. “Most of the selections are by contemporary composers from across the nation, with some of the newer music coming from recent musicals on Broadway or the movies. There will be something that everyone can enjoy.”
