Betty J. Allen will celebrate her 90th birthday on May 29 with a card shower. 

Betty was born on May 29, 1929 in Shamrock, Okla. She graduated from High School in Russell and married the late Robert (Bud) Allen. She was a resident of Great Bend for 56 years where she was an active member of First Southern Baptist Church. Betty taught at Park and Morrison Elementary. Betty has three children, Denise Simon(David), Mooresville, N.C., Robert S. Allen, Denver, Colo., and Marcia Kimbley (deceased); and two granddaughters, Chelsea Simon, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sarah Simon, Tel Aviv, Israel.
