Della Guesnier will celebrate her 80th birthday on Sept. 9, 2017, with a card shower.
Della was born on Sept. 9, 1937, in Salina to Dean and Margaret VanPelt. On Feb. 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to her husband Joe in Great Bend. She was employed by Southwestern Bell and the City of Great Bend Park Department until her retirement. She has three daughters, Dee Ann Frydendall, Donna Nickel and Teresa Mawhirter; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
