Dixie Hejny of Great Bend will celebrate her 80th birthday with a surprise party from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 21, at Pizza Hut on Main Street in Great Bend. Host for the party will be her husband Blackie Hejny.
Dixie was a telephone operator for AT&T and retired in 1986. She has two children, Darrin of Norton and Deyton of Cambridge, Neb.
