Dorothy Polzin of Hoisington will celebrate her 90th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 4 with a open house at 172 S. Main in Hoisington.
She was born Dorothy Schrernmer on Aug. 3, 1922, in the rural Beaver area. On May 12, 1942, she married Joe Polzin. He passed away in 2005. Dorothy’s children and spouses are Delphine and Bill Hickey, Melvin and Barbara, Tom, Duane and Patty, Randy, all of Hoisington, Nancy and Kenny Mater of Great Bend, Charlotte and Joe Hahn of Hanston and Kevin and Tammy of Galatia. She has 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
