Jerry Komarek of Ellinwood will celebrate his 80th birthday with a reception at 6 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the American Legion on Santa Fe Blvd. in Ellinwood. Hosts for the event will be his children, Chris Komarek and Michelle Fryberger, both of Ellinwood, and Darlene Demel of Claflin, and their families.
Jerry was born on June 19, 1937. He was self-employed as a trash service provider and Jerry’s Electric and is currently a route driver for Sunflower Electric. He and his wife Judy have three children and six grandchildren.
