Lucille Josephine Driscoll will celebrate her 90th birthday on Oct. 21, with a card shower.
Lucille was born in 1926, to Veat and Monica Dolechek. She was raised in the Beaver, Dubuque area, where she attended District 64 Grade School and graduated from Claflin High School. In 1945, she graduated from Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina. Shortly after, she began her career at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Mo. In 1951, she returned home to Beaver and married. In 1956, she started at Farmers National Bank in Beaver holding various roles including director and executive vice-president at the bank. After 36 years she decided it was time for her to make a permanent withdrawal so she retired in 1992 from the bank. She has one daughter, Jane Schreiber and husband Rick of Beaver; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is living life to the fullest, enjoying chatting with old friends,
staying young taking care of her great-grandchildren and going on new adventures.
