Opal A. Weaver will celebrate her 103rd birthday on Sept. 21, with a card shower.
Opal was born in 1913 in Vale, Ark. but spent most of her life in Central Kansas. She attended high school in Claflin and after her marriage to Lilburn P. Weaver in 1937, they resided in Holyrood where they raised six children. Opal has 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She moved to Cedar Park Place in Great Bend from 2000 to 2013 and then moved to Country Living in Larned. She enjoys visiting with friends, playing bingo and putting jigsaw puzzle together. She loves to get mail, so the
family is requesting a card shower for Opal. Her children include Max Manor of Wamego and the late JaNelda Manor, Gene and Karen (Grounds) of Wichita, Donna Campbell of Larned, Keith and Oleta Beckwith of Great Bend, Terry and Carolyn Holland of Baton Rouge, LA and Gary Pillard of Marysville and the late Vicki Pillard.
