Rosa Burroughs will celebrate her 80th birthday with a reception from 1-3 p.m. on Aug 5, 2017, at the Kansas Oil and Gas Museum, 5944 10th Street in Great Bend.
Rosa Burroughs was born on Aug. 10, 1937, in Devine, Texas. On Nov. 18, 1958, she married Everett L. Burroughs Sr. in Somerset, Texas. He died in July 1994. A retired homemaker, she has four children, Peggy Yahne (Bruce) of Ellinwood, Mary Burroughs (Clark Feaster) of Syracuse, Teresa Alston of Great Bend and Everett “Buddy” Burroughs Jr. (Tracy Curtice-Templeton) of Ellinwood.
