Wilma Bahr, formerly of Albert, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Oct. 1, 2017, with a card shower.
Wilma was born on her grandparents farm near Minneapolis, on Oct. 1, 1927, to Earl and Zelma McCosh. She spent most of her school years in Minneapolis and Wichita, graduating from Wichita East High School. She moved, with her parents, to Great Bend in 1946 and was employed as an operator/instructor at Bell Telephone Company. On May 7, 1951, she married Edward Bahr and moved to Albert. They raised two children, Beth Grant of Overland Park, and Earl Bahr of Pawcatuck, Conn. Edward died in October 1972. She also enjoyed working at Southwestern Bell/AT&T, and Fuller Brush.
Wilma has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She currently lives with her daughter in Overland Park.
