McPHERSON — The McPherson Opera House will present the spectacular “Celtic Angels Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.

Produced in Ireland, Celtic Angels Christmas will stage an awe-inspiring, magical holiday show that includes vocal and instrumental seasonal favorites alongside Irish, contemporary and original Christmas themes ... all with a Celtic twist. Adding in stunning routines performed by world champion dancers, the show will create and unforgettable evening of entertainment.

This family show is a holiday celebration of Christmas in Ireland and features Christmas music from across the centuries, presented in unique fashion by some of Ireland’s finest performers. If you have never heard “Ding Dong Merrily on High” performed as a toe-tapping instrumental or “In Dulci Jubilo” as an Irish jig, then you are in for a quite a treat; not to mention the angelic vocal and evocative instrumental Irish renditions of “In the Bleak Mid-Winter Snow” and “Silent Night.”

The show also features original music and choreography. Performers drawn from the Irish Cultural Academy have performed across six continents and have graced the stages of some of the world’s greatest venues including Moscow’s Kremlin State Palace, Beijing Opera House, Radio City Music Hall, London’s Hyde Park, The Kennedy Center, Sydney Opera House, among others, and Ireland’s two 80,000 capacity venues; Croke Park and Slane Castle. They have also performed for three Irish Presidents, three U.S. Presidents, the Queen of England.

“Some of the same performers who were here a few years ago with the Women of Ireland show are part of this production. The vocals are fabulous, and the dancing is absolutely amazing. We’re so excited that we were able to bring this Christmas show to McPherson,” said Opera House Business Director Diane Fallis.
