Madisyn Schlochtermeir

Student Library Assistant Hytomi Nuno will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today’s Senior Spotlight is Madisyn Schlochtermeier!

Madisyn is a senior at EHS. Her family includes her mom and dad, Jason and Heather Schlochtermeier, and younger brother, Ethan.

A book Madisyn would recommend is “Under a Painted Sky,” by Stacy Lee. This book has a great story line full of plot twists.

“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier,” from Mother Teresa is Madisyn’s favorite quote.

Some of the things she’s involved in at EHS include tennis, KAY, NHS, STUCO, Mystic Blues and the musical. Outside of school Madisyn is a member of her youth group, PSR.

As of right now, Madisyn is undecided in what she wants to major in. She’s deciding between management or design. Both of those sound super fun to her. In the long run, she’d like to try and go to Wichita State University for either of those.

For all the incoming students out there, Madisyn recommends finding a small group of people that share your same interests and stick by them through thick and thin. These are going to be the people that you lean on throughout the remainder of high school ... and potentially after. She thinks it’s better to have quality friends rather than a huge quantity of them. We wish Madisyn a great year in her senior chapter!
