American Legion honors veterans

Nine veterans, honored at a ceremony of the American Legion Post 180 on Nov. 18, were presented a medallion and certificate from the Kansas Veterans Administration and Governor Sam Brownback for their military service in the Vietnam War era.
The awards were presented by Clark Conaway, American Legion District Commander; Dale Allen, American Legion State Commander; Paul Sanford, American Legion Vice-Commander; and Eric Rohleder from the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs.
The event was attended by family and friends.
