On March 5, ten members of Barton County 4H traveled to Hays to compete in the 2016 NW KS Air Rifle Invitational that was sponsored by Ellis County 4H Shooting Sports.
In the 8 to 11 year old division, Noah Deines from Hoisington and Parker Dicks from Great Bend represented Barton County. Parker placed 2nd.
In the 12 and 13 year old division, Gus and Woodson Corbett from Ellinwood, Dalton Dicks from Great Bend and Will Clark from Great Bend represented Barton County. Dalton finished 3rd.
In the 14 year old division, Collin and Evan Hammond from Great Bend represented Barton County.
In the 15 and 16 year old division, Jace Schwager from Great Bend, Alivia Bautista from Great Bend, Parker Smith from Great Bend and Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood represented Barton County. Parker placed 2nd and Katelyn placed 3rd in the division.
In the 17 and 18 year old division, Lake Lyman from Ellinwood and Ryan Kohman from Great Bend represented Barton County. Lake placed 3rd and Ryan placed 1st.
There were 13 counties represented at the match. The Barton County team placed 1st. The team members for the match were Ryan Kohman, Lake Lyman, Parker Smith and Katelyn Reh.
