Leaders of Lions Clubs from all parts of Kansas will be ‘roaring’ at the Best Western Motel Complex in McPherson, Oct. 28-30, for the Fall meeting of the Kansas Lions State Council of Governors.
A principal order of business will be the assembly of the State Council of Governors for the second of their required meetings during the year to establish and evaluate policy that will guide Kansas Lions in community service to their hometown communities. 
Governors of the five Kansas Lions Districts are Ralph Rodgers (Hugoton) 17-L; Marion Schroll (Riley) 17-I; Clint Vawter (Scranton) 17-O; Helen LeBlanc (Valley Center) 17-N; and Mel Green (Columbus) 17-S.    
Many of the State Committees that are appointed to serve the special needs of Youth Activities, Sight Conservation, Diabetes, Lions Band Camp, Environmental Conservation, Club Membership and Public Relations will meet during the Saturday sessions. All three of the Lions Foundations will also conduct their quarterly meetings in McPherson.
The International Association of Lions Clubs is the largest community service organization on Earth with 1.35 million members in 46,000 clubs in 206 countries of the world.
Kansas Lions number nearly 7,000 members, serving in 310 Lions and Leo (Youth) Clubs all across Kansas, each dedicated to serving their hometown communities.
