Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Dec. 13 at the home of Rosie Luthi for the annual Christmas social and meeting attended by 13 members. President Janis Link conducted the meeting.
Janice Walker, service chair, collected members’ donations to the Makinna Ann Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization with the goal of assisting families who have special-needs children. The Foundation currently works with the Sunflower Early Education Center to provide special-needs toys and equipment for those children. Preceptor Pi members will present their donation to the Foundation in January.
Susan Brown, social chair, reported on plans to host Theta Master for a Sister Chapter social on Jan. 17. Plans for the social will be finalized at the first meeting in January.
As the Christmas program, Walker led a game in which members guessed titles to Christmas carols with word clues coming from line drawing illustrations for each carol.
Reta Lucas will host the next meeting of Preceptor Pi at 7 p.m. Jan. 3 in the Conference Room at Heart of Kansas Family Health Care Clinic.
