Stan Jantz of Hoisington was honored Saturday by being presented with the to his chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Stan is the Americanism Chairman for the Sons of the Plains Chapter which meets in Hutchinson.  Stan is a member of the Color guard and has participated in events at every opportunity and initiated opportunities when none were scheduled. Stan has been instrumental in getting joint involvement with the DAR Chapter in Ellsworth.
The October meeting of the Sons of the Plains will be held at 9 a.m. on Oct. 11, at the Wolfe Hotel in Ellinwood. Any man interested in the SAR is welcomed to attend. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the Underground.
