Due to state budget cuts to the Kansas VFW Veterans Services, the military order of the Cootie, Local Cheyenne Flyway Pup Tent 7 of Kansas will hold a consignment auction at  9 a.m. on April 7 at the VFW Post 3111, 504 Washington with 3% of the proceeds donated to the Cooties to help veterans in need.
Donations for the auction can be brought between 3 and 7 p.m. on April 6 to the post. Items must be in good condition, no vehicles or weapons accepted. 
Auctions proceeds will help veterans in need of health care, transportation to and from medical appointments and minor personal needs. For more information contact LaForrest (Frosty) Bodine at 792-4030 or the VFW at 792-2754.
