Ellinwood library offers many services
Check it out

Ellinwood School/Community Library has many services to offer our patrons. Along with our wonderful collection of books, audio books (on CD), and DVDs available for checkout, we provide digital services including Hoopla, Libby, and from the State Library of Kansas. If you have a new card, call the library at 620-564-2306 and Julie can help you get set up. If you don’t have a card, come in and Julie will assist you in getting set up.

If there is an item you are needing that our library does not provide, we are in a network of libraries to borrow through Pathfinder Inter-Library Loan (PILL). If you are not certain how this works, come in anytime, and we can show you how you can place a hold on books to borrow. If the book is not in our system, we can still Inter-Library Loan (ILL) state-wide, and Treva would be able to help you with that.

We also provide copies (including color and poster printing), fax, and laminating services for a small fee. Julie will assist you with small 3-D printing projects. We have library bags for sale to carry your treasures. Adult patrons also have access to public computers, free Wi-Fi, and microfilm of the Ellinwood Leader.

There are many programs/displays offered at Ellinwood School/Community Library. Children’s Story Time with Miss Karie and Baby & Me with Miss Treva are offered weekly during the fall and spring semesters. Then we load the summer with our Summer Reading Program with Miss Melody and crew.

We will be having the CDC and St. Joseph’s Display up in February, Twilight Stitchers Quilt Display up in March, the EHS Art Display in April, and EGS Art Display in May. We try to get this information out to you in advance through the newspaper. Amy Hammeke does an amazing job of keeping our Facebook page up to date, so you may also want to follow us and interact on Facebook at facebook.com/ellinwoodlibrary.

Our winter library hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and evenings 4 p.m.-7 p.m. with Heather, Treva, or Amy; Fridays 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays with Treva or Heather from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

We look forward to serving you soon at Ellinwood School/Community Library.
