Student Library Assistant, Gracyn Dombroski will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights. Today’s Senior Spotlights are Allison Ricker and Rylan Wirtz.
Allison is a senior at EHS. Her family members are Dirk, Terra, and Aiden Ricker. Allison’s favorite book is “We Were Liars,” because it puts its readers through a lot of emotions. Her favorite quote is, “Life is too short to be but real with the cast of characters God has placed in the story of your life. Love well, laugh often, and find your life in Christ. Don’t hide away or be a follower. Be the wonderful unique person God made you to be, and know that your purpose will always be best when defined by your faith in Him.” - Karen Kingsbury. Allison is involved in Cross Country, Basketball, FFA, STUCO, KAY, Yearbook, History Club, Band, Choir, and National Honor Society. Her favorite class is United States History, because she enjoys learning about the events in our country’s past, and it pushes her to become a better writer and a better student. A piece of advice that Allison has for incoming students is to show up with a positive attitude. Don’t look at everything with a doom and gloom attitude or your life will be doom and gloom. A positive mindset will change situations for the better. We wish Allison a great year in her senior chapter!
Rylan is a senior at EHS. His family members are Kendra, Ryan, and Reagan. His favorite quote is, “Climb the mountain so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” - Kahbib Nurmagomedov. Rylan’s favorite class is Ag Power, because he enjoys the hands-on aspect of it. Mr. Ensz is Rylan’s favorite teacher because he teaches Rylan’s favorite class, and he is a good teacher. He has learned multiple things from his ag and wood shop classes that will help him in the future on any hands-on projects he is going to do. We wish Rylan a great year in his senior chapter.
