Dorothy Blaufuss of Olpe announces the engagement of her daughter Janell Marie Blaufuss of Wichita, to James Daren Schneider of Belleville, son of Donald and Elizabeth (Betty) Schneider of Great Bend. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late John Blaufuss.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Olpe High School. She earned bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Economics and a Master of Business Administration, all from Emporia State University. She is a Major in the United States Air Force and serves on active duty as a flight commander in the Kansas Air National Guard, stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School. He earned a bachelor’s  degree and a master’s degree in History from Kansas State University. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is self-employed as a contractor at Fort Riley Army Installation.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 23 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe.
