Dan and Dorothy Ann Hertel of Great Bend announce the engagement of their daughter Alyssa Nicole Hertel to Blake Michael Kratzer, son of Tim and Jeanette Kratzer of Geneseo.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Great Bend High School. In 2012, she graduated from Barton Community College with an Associate of Applied Science - Medical Laboratory Technician degree. She attended Fort Hays State University. She is employed by West Wichita Family Physicians and Great Bend Regional Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Ellsworth High School. He attended Kansas Wesleyan University and Barton Community College. He is employed by the Great Bend Fire Department as a Firefighter-Advanced EMT.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 8, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend.
