Chy A.M. Howery and Brandon Porter announce their engagement. Parents of the bride-elect are Mr. William and Dr. Connie Howery of Honolulu, Hawaii. Parents of the prospective groom are Casey Porter and Holly Valdez, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Florence High School in Arizona. In 2004, she graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz. where she received degrees in psychology and in criminal justice. She is also a graduate of Argosy University/Phoenix with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a therapist in Medford, Ore. and also an online professor for the University of Phoenix.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School in Arizona. He has two years of fire fighting experience as well as five years in law enforcement. He is self-employed at a security guard company in Medford, Ore.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 20 at the Poco Diablo resort in Sedona, Ariz.
