Johnny and Sherri Matlock of Hays announce the engagement of their daughter, Jordan Matlock, to Jay Petz, son of Jerome and Tammy Petz of Schoenchen. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Larry and Eileen Wineland of Hays and Johnny and Lula Belle Matlock of Harrison, Ark. Great-grandmother of the bride-elect is Marjorie Wineland of Hays. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Bob Jarmer and Jeannie Munsch of Great Bend and Lee and Pat Petz of Ellinwood.
The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Hays High School. She is currently in the nursing program at Fort Hays State University. She is employed as a phlebotomist at Hays Medical Center.
The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of Hays High School. He is currently attending Fort Hays State University majoring in accounting. He is employed at Hays Medical Center as a Health Unit Coordinator.
The wedding is planned for July 27 at North Oak Community Church in Hays.
