Lafe and Lori Maurer of Avoca, Iowa announce the engagement of their daughter Lesa Maurer to Jarett Schulte, son of Greg and Denise Schulte of Claflin and Jeff and Phyllis Billinger of Russell.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Great Bend High School. In 2011 she graduated from Fort Hays State University. She is a kindergarten/1st grade teacher at Western Plains Elementary in Ransom.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Russell High School. In 2013 he graduated from Fort Hays State University. He is a 4th/5th grade teacher at Western Plains Elementary in Ransom.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 3 at Cedar Bluff Reservoir.
