Michael and Dana Peters of McPherson announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Peters to Uchenna Nwude, son of Afocha Nwude of Wichita and the late Shirley Nwude. Her grandparents are Normal Ward and Darrell Peters.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and from Friends University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is employed by the Kansas City Police Department as a Victim Services Unit Program supervisor.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Derby High School. He graduated from Friends University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is employed by Leavenworth Firestone as a store manager.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 23 in Lawrence.
