Carl and Melinda Petz of Olathe announce the engagement of their daughter Allyson Petz to Andrew Owen, son of Carrol Owen and Debbie Owen, both of Hoisington. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Larry and Mary Ward of Great Bend and Ray and Bernice Petz of Ellinwood. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Anita Meade of Hoisington and Manny Meade of Topeka.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Olathe High School. She will graduate in May from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She has accepted a position as a neonatal intensive care nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Leawood.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Hoisington High School. After serving six years in the Army National Guard, he is working on his Bachelors of Science  in Computer Science at DeVry University. He is employed by CPI in Great Bend in the IT Department.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 15 in Lawrence.
