Tom and Mary Lou Ruble announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Ruble, to BJ Horton, son of Barry Horton of Timpson, Texas and Anita Horton and Jeff Overhouse of Jersey Village, Texas.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from Dodge City Community College with an associate’s degree, Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree and Emporia State University with a master’s degree. She is employed as a high school English teacher by Harmony School of Advancement in Houston, Texas.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Jersey Village High School. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a bachelor’s degree. He is employed as a food and beverage manager at Boston’s in Houston, Texas.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 24 at the Foundry United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
