Adam and Janice Showalter of Alexander announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Nicole, to Andrew Joseph Flax, the son of Cletus and Patricia Flax of Brownell.
The bride-elect is a 2013 graduate of Western Plains High School. She will complete a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education from Fort Hays State University in December 2017.
The prospective groom is a 2014 graduate of Western Plains High School. In 2016 he graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in agricultural business. He is employed by the First State Bank of Ransom.
The wedding is planned for June 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ness City.
