Mr. and Mrs. Rick and Cathy Thompson of Coffeyville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Thompson, to Benjamin Scheck, son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Elaine Meyer and Mr. Thomas Scheck of Great Bend.
The bride-elect graduated from Kansas State University in December 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising. After graduation, she found a career in legal marketing and graphic design. She is employed as the communications coordinator for the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP in Kansas City, Missouri.
The prospective groom graduated from Kansas State University in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance. After graduation, he was recruited by Mueller Industries, headquartered in Memphis, Tenn. He has continued his seven year tenure with Mueller and is employed as a territory sales manager over the Central Plains Region, based out of Olathe.
The wedding is planned for April 26, at the First United Methodist Church of Coffeyville.
